I’ve always wanted to be a music teacher
I have recently read a post of a fellow colleague of mine that declared to all music teachers out there that “all of us are failed performers….we all secretly hate teaching and do it out of mere necessity.”
⠀
Personally, I never wanted to perform, but ever since I can remember, I wanted to be a teacher. I have always been passionate about music and loved kids. I wanted to give the gift of music to those who dream of playing a musical instrument- especially kids who were told growing up that they were not capable to play – because their fingers not being long enough, their ears not being good enough, etc. I am happy to prove the naysayers wrong! I can show that with enough encouragement, support, and patience, anyone can make music his or her ( or their) lifetime hobby.
⠀
I am fortunate to have always known what I want to do. There was never a doubt in my heart or mind about pursuing my passion for music and teaching.❤️🎹
⠀
🎹Let me assure you one more time: you can learn playing piano at any age and go as far as you want with your skills. You are more talented than you know and more capable than you imagine!🎹
