If you asked me a few years ago if online lessons are as effective as in-person lessons, I would probably say NO.

​However, as I am quite an open minded person and love trying and learning something new, I learned that online lessons are very much effective!

I was a little skeptical about teaching my younger students online at first; however, I often find that they are more focused during lessons over Skype, than even during in-person lessons. I suppose for modern kids who were born into a technology- intensive world, it can feel more natural to take a lesson using their computer or iPad.

As I am not as technologically savvy, I hesitated about the online lessons option at first. However, I have found a wonderful teacher that consults other teachers wanting to move to Skype lessons and explains how to create the best possible experience for students.

At this moment, when a lot of parents prefer to switch to a home schooling for a little while, I thought it especially relevant and timely to offer an option to my students that would allow my students to continue with their piano practice.

Here are some pros of taking piano lessons:

  • Scheduling Flexibility.
  • Location is never a problem. If you live in a rural area and lack access to quality piano teachers, look no further than the internet! I love having students all over the world!
  • They operate 99% like a traditional in-house lesson.
  • Less distraction. Students are more focused on what the teacher has to say and completing the tasks. My online lessons are often MORE productive than in-house lessons. I think it has to do with the fact that we all seem to be hypnotized by screen.
  • Amazon Prime makes ordering piano books fast.
  • Cameras with high quality screens are easily accessible due to the advanced technology of smart phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • You can continue your piano practice even if you can’t travel to your teacher’s studio for various reasons

Give it a try. It might be your thing; or it might not be, but always try, before you make the final decision.

  • I work with kids and adults of all ages and believe that everyone can be introduced to the magical world of Music.
  • My training program includes: ​Music Theory, Technique, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Improvisation, Chord Progressions, Songwriting and Composition.
  • I offer group music lessons for the young beginners ( ages 2-4 years old). I will introduce your child to the world of music through the game and exciting music activities.
  • Online lessons / Skype lessons/ FaceTime Lessons

  • During the summer, I offer tailor-made music camps where kids can advance their skills
